Artist Crys Warlitner worked with 8 participants of the City’s 2009 Summer Earn and Learn program. The apprentice artists were lead through a process of collage with mixed media new and recycled materials. The final artwork was sealed with black, antique

copper and varnish to create this 32’ long by 6’ tall festival mural conveying energy, excitement and community. This unique program was a partnership between Norfolk’s Parking Division, Public Art Program, and the Human Resource Department.
