Description: Knot My Boat Charters is seeking to hire a full-time Master Marine Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, service and repair our fleet of vessels. As our lead mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting and servicing engine equipment, diagnosing issues, troubleshooting, making repairs, and leading our maintenance and mechanic team. Ultimately, we are looking for a top-level mechanic that can expertly diagnose and repair issues of any size. Responsibilities: -Testing the performance of marine engines and electrical systems -Carrying out and overseeing routine preventative maintenance -Winterization and de-winterization -Carrying out services and repairs on outboard and inboard engines -Conducting plumbing and intake repairs -Replacing broken or worn-out engine parts -Repairing hydraulic and steering systems -Conducting electrical AC system maintenance -Completing service records and documentation -Annual regular services including engine tune ups, oil changes, impeller changes, transmission service, oil filters, fuel filters, water separator filters, etc. -Overseeing Assistant Mechanic and Marine Technicians Skills & Qualifications: -Knowledge of how to operate a vessel is required -Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems -Strong with tools and general repairs -Ability to conduct major engine overhauls in extreme situations (head repair, head gasket, etc.) -Fiberglass & gelcoat knowledge is a plus, but not required Compensation & Perks: This position includes a competitive salary and healthcare benefits (medical, dental and vision). Qualified candidates should expect to earn $75,000 - $100,000+ in the first year. Other perks include 50% off all of the company’s restaurants and boat charters, and one month vacation during winter months. Relocation assistance will be considered for the right candidate.
