Job Title: Hollow Metal Frame Fabricator Department: Welding Shop Reports To: Warehouse Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Summary: Prepping and welding frames in the shop and in the field by performing the following duties. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Prep and weld frames to meet B.A. Hoft’s quality control.* 2. Modifies doors and frames in the shop ( possible in the field.*) 3. Cleans as needed. 4. Performs other duties as assigned. Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver's license Equipment: • Forklift • Saws • Drills • Sanders • Planers • Hand tools • Welders • Routers • Painting equipment • Air tools Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities: • Carpentry skills • Welding skills Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
