Building, remodeling, maintenance, restoration, and project management company is looking for a skilled person with experience, ambition, and the ability to problem solve. Looking for a hard-working outgoing person, who has ability in all facets of building and maintenance trades. Duties will include but are not limited to project lead, carpentry, project management, demolition, installation, material handling, purchasing, general laborer duties, vehicle and equipment maintenance, and much more. You will need basic plumbing and electrical skills also. We handle everything from basic home repairs to high-difficulty project management work for larger projects. The company's primary work is remodeling: Kitchens, baths, and full homes. Please include previous remodel/construction experience. Background on ALC Maintenance LLC The owner has been in the building trades for over 20 years. He has held a Residential builder’s maintenance and alterations license for 20 years. Master carpentry is his primary trade, but beyond well-versed in most building trades. ALC Maintenance LLC has operated in the Berrien county area now for over ten years. Its primary focus is remodeling. Kitchens, Bathrooms, and Basements are some of the normal remodels that the company does. That being said, it is not uncommon to redo an entire home. Most work is carried out by the company, and, as needed, subcontractors are brought in to assist. ALC is often called in on jobs that for one reason or another other companies can’t handle. The owner enjoys the challenge of making it all work best for the property owner. From time to time we go in after another contractor and repair faulty work. The company does many different maintenance tasks for a well-established client base. From simple changing light bulbs, repairs to toilets, repairs to broken fixtures in the home, drywall repair from leaks, and much much more. Every day at the company is different. Remodeling is not standard run-of-the-mill work. Each day and every job has its own set of unique challenges that have to be met head-on and have many alternatives in place to help complete the job. Professionalism is key for the company and anyone who works for it. I require high standards from anyone who works for me. They must be of good moral character. The company has built trust with its client base and that will be protected at all times. I am looking for someone who likes this line of work and wants to make it a career. They must be willing to and open to learning. They must have a car to get to work. They must always be on time, show up ready to work, be clean, and always give the very best they can. No task is beneath any person at the company. This job will start as doing work with the owner to find out what your capabilities are. Leading to being put on jobs to take on yourself. The more the person grows in the role the more responsibilities they will have. The goal is to have a long-term person who grows with and helps grow the company. 40 hrs a week and trying to keep that in the confines of a Monday through Friday. That is not always the case but will work hard to keep it that way. Currently, 40 hrs a week will be standard into the foreseeable future. No use of tobacco products is allowed during working hours on any site including company property and vehicles and equipment. You are not allowed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This includes marijuana or any prescription that may affect your ability to safely do your job or use equipment. I try not to get into a person’s personal life and hobbies, provided they do not affect work. However, you have to be clean and sober to work for this company. Violation will result in dismissal. Background checks and drug screening may be required prior to an offer being made.
