Choose your own knitting adventure! We will provide yarn bundles and patterns for one of three possible projects (one kit per person): Penn Scarf (beginner)Barley Hat (beginner+)Rye Socks (intermediate)If you recently joined us for a Learn to Knit class, I would recommend starting with the Penn Scarf. It uses the same skills you've learned of casting on and knitting in the garter stitch pattern and adds in a color change. Recommended needle size: US 9 If you want to expand your skills a bit, the Barley Hat involves knitting in the rounds, the knit and purl stitches and working some decreases. Recommended needle sizes: US 6 and US 8 16" circular needles or DPNs. Our intermediate project option is Rye Socks. This pattern involves knitting in the round knitting & purling and working short rows to "turn the heel". Recommended needle sizes: US 3 and US 5 DPNs or circs for magic loop. Needles are NOT provided for this event.
