Central Florida Band in the process of reforming and are looking for an experienced lead vocalist or lead vocal ability along with guitar capabilities, to join an experienced group of mature musicians comprising of lead/lap steel guitarist with vocals, keyboardist/guitarist with vocals, bass and drums. We are targeting mostly classic rock, Doobie Brothers, Eagles, Clapton, BTO, Van Morrison as examples, and what might be considered "standards" such a My Girl, Under the Boardwalk, Pretty Woman etc. However, the song list and direction will be decided upon by all band members and the venue as this is a group effort and everyone has a say. We are looking for someone who is flexible to rehearse, (retired is ideal but not required) is reliable, will come prepared knowing the material we plan to rehearse that week, and looking to get tight We want to be selective on where we play and targeting 1-2 gigs per month, with the focus on more about the experience than the money. Quality over quantity. We are looking to have fun, no drama, sound tight and have a band where everyone respects each other, and all band members have a say on direction and material. Typically rehearse once per week, at rehearsal space is in the Eustis/Umatilla area. If someone has another rehearsal facility, we would be open to that. Thanks
