Hello everyone. Please listen. DO NOT WORK FOR Orion Photo Group. These are scammers. They say they offer to pay photographers $50 / hour to shoot weddings. Its a lie. I have shot weddings for years, and I decided to answer their ad, I was interviewed over the phone, told I would be paid $50 / hour, including the time to edit, weddings would be at least 8 hours, as well as compensated for travel. Much to my surprise my first wedding for them was 4 hours, and pay was $35 / hour, not including editing, because as they put it "this is an off season wedding". Also you need to drive 100 miles on your own dime before the wedding "qualifies for compensation". Also the wedding was in Arabic. If you are good enough to photograph a wedding, you are good enough to be paid much more than $35 / hour. Hell, you deserve $100 / hour. They lied about their pay, their hours, and their benefits. DON'T WORK FOR THEM. They are a huge company that creates a list of shooters, then they get couples, and connect the couple with a shooter in their area, but you will be lucky to get one wedding a season. You are better then this. Don't let Orion Photo Group ripe you off! Read their BS below:
