Broden Millworks is hiring a Shop Assistant/Laborer for our custom millwork production shop. We are family-owned local millwork and specialty building materials dealer based in Middletown. Either full time or part time with a regular schedule. Our custom shop produces wood moldings, flooring, cabinetry, doors, windows, and many other millwork items. Some carpentry experience a plus. Ability to learn the use of machinery, follow directions, basic math skills and attention to detail required. Dependability is a must. Full benefits package offered for full time position. QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or equivalent • 1+ related education to woodworking a plus • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs • Able to use machinery unsupervised, follow directions, have basic math skills, and be safe around woodworking machinery • Keep a clean and neat shop area while keeping track of what is being used and returned for material LOOKING FOR • Are you dependable, proactive, and a team player? • Do you work well independently with little supervision? • Critical thinking skills to complete jobs in a timely and efficient manner • Adaptability to the day-to-day shop tools. • Precision and attention to detail • Respect the shop foreman • You to regularly inspect equipment and tools for any wear and tear and report their condition BENEFITS We provide a full benefits package to full time employees. -Paid Time Off after grace period -401k (with employer match) -Holiday pay (5 per year avg.) -Health/Dental -Profit Sharing
