Tuesday, November 8th is for Speech Language Pathologists only. Location - Assembly 2 (12:00-1 :15 p.m.) Thursday, November 17th is for Occupational Therapist and Occupational Therapist Assistants only. Location - Assembly 2 (12:00-1 :15 p.m.) Monday, November 14th is for Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistants only. Location - Assembly 2 (12:00-1 :15 p.m.) This course serves to educate and inform therapists working in neuro-rehabilitation about Neurologic Music Therapy research and protocols. We will discuss specific music therapy interventions, goals, and protocols when working with Occupational , Physical and Speech Therapists. Therapists will have a clear understanding of how to refer patients, which patients are appropriate for music therapy services, and determine if co-treatment is recommended. At the end of this presentation, participants will be able to: • Define Neurologic Music Therapy as it pertains to a neurologic rehabilitation setting • Integrate working knowledge of Music Therapy services regarding patient treatment plans • Determine appropriateness and effectiveness of Music Therapy services for each patient • Describe Music Therapy interventions as it pertains to evidence based medicine • Identify music therapy interventions used in conjunction with Therapy Instructors Alexandria Denne MM, MT-BC Danielle Porter MM, MT-BC, NMT/F
