We are a professional land care and maintenance contractor specializing in cemetery maintenance work throughout multiple states and we’re currently looking to fill an Irrigation Service Technician position in the Tampa area. This position will ensure optimal performance of the irrigation systems within the facilities we provide maintenance services to and will support other maintenance initiatives our crews perform within the cemetery. The focus will be performing thorough irrigation systems evaluations, identifying current and potential problems, proposing innovative solutions, and performing repairs and system improvements that exceed our clients’ expectations. This position will start off earning up to $20.00/hour depending on your experience and your ability to achieve a satisfactory level of performance. This job operates on a 40 hour/week, flexible shift that may require overtime and/or weekends as necessary. Important skills and qualifications; ● Ability to safely use a wide range of tools and equipment ● Ability to operate heavy equipment such as tractors and backhoes ● Ability to install, repair, adjust and enhance commercial irrigation systems ● Perform inspections on pumps, controllers, weather sensors, main lines, low-voltage electrical wiring and connectors, control valves and valve protection boxes, filters, zone lines, points of connection, sprinkler heads, drip lines, and micro-irrigation emitters. ● Complete field reports that record controller programming, watering schedules, weather sensor adjustments, and landscape job site conditions. ● Gather information for estimates on system improvements needed. ● Create irrigation maps showing the location of system components including water sources, controllers, control valves, and areas of coverage. ● Ability to accurately use measuring devices ● Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. ● Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions (hot/cold) ● Ability to work well with a team and on individual tasks ● You will be required to pass a drug screen and background check. ● You will need to have a good driving record. ● You will need proper authorization to work in the United States. Requirements; ● At least two years of work experience in residential or commercial irrigation ● Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record ● Time management skills and availability for seasonal hours (weekends and extended days) ● Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds, knowledge, and skill levels ● Effective communication skills, both verbal and written ● Heavy equipment operator experience You’ve been looking for an opportunity like this.
