Description
Join the Production Team making sausages, salumi, hams, bacon, and more in Smoking Goose's USDA-inspected meatery. Please note, this is not a slaughtering position but rather an artisan charcuterie making position, and on-the-job training is provided. Duties include cutting meat by hand using traditional seam butchery techniques as well as trimming out portions for specific recipes and using charcuterie production equipment for sausage stuffing, ham brining, bowl cutting, and more.
Prior culinary or butchering experience is preferable but not required, and all training is provided. Candidates must have an eye for consistency and quality as well as the ability to work in a refrigerated environment and do some heavy lifting.
Work daytime hours—off evenings, weekends, and holidays. Full-time positions include paid time off, matching 401K, health insurance, and more. Staff meals by a private chef are offered two days a week, plus enjoy a staff discount in our Public Smokehouse fine food market and more perks. Starting hourly wage is $15 per hour.
