Unfortunately it's time I find poppy I better home. She will be 2 in April. She is not spayed yet. She is about 9lbs eats simply nourish grain free. She has to have grain free or else she will scratch all over none stop. I've tried multiple foods and this is the one she does the best on. She only eats 1/4 cup in the morning and 1/4 cup in the evening. She doesn't like strangers or young kids. She takes a little to warm up to new people, but once she does she will love to be in your lap. She is trained to use buttons to ask to go outside. She loves frozen kongs, and bully sticks. Will play fetch as long as you keep throwing the ball. Loves toys that squeak, even though she kills the squeaker. Enjoys playing with other dogs sometimes. She can be a bully. Dog parks are a no go. But maybe a friends dog would be good. No kids under the age of 10. Or wild kids. She has growled and nipped at kids before. Knows sit,down,off,paw,crate/bed,outside,back, wait, drop it, and her name. Sleeps in a crate over night and when I'm not home. Now the reason for finding her a new home. She has started resource guarding which means she will fight over a bone or treat ball. Even once over a toy. She does not like puppies. Their high energy makes her nervous and stressed and she lashes out at them. She is a special dog. But needs a calmer home than what I can provide. She gets along fine with my 7 year old retriever mix but picks fights with my 4 month old poodle. They act like best friends even wrestling until poppy gets moody and then she attacks the poodle. She has never even growled at the older retriever though. If you feel like you might be the right family for her send me a message. Also she walks with a harness not on a collar. Comes with her toys,crate,harness,leash,sweaters,treats,kong,ball,bed,collar, brush, food,bowl, diapers, and probably other things I can't think of right now. Oh she also only likes her nails grinded not clipped. And she has 1 dew claw on the front of one foot, just born that way. Poppy is a shihtzu dachshund mix.
