Looking to form a band that's both primal and nuanced...

Description

Looking to co-create a band that can rock with abandon but also take people on post-rock atmospheric journeys, an eclectic, fearless band that plays for love? Hi there. I'm older (63), but, if it helps, I played places like CBGBs a lot back in the day. I play simple, hard punky rhythm and can do melodic leads and bluesy leads (think early, early passionate Santana), but I am not a shredder, and I hate shredding. I want to get back to that primal sound. But, I also have done a lot of experimental music and have a very interesting pedalboard setup that I can play guitar and viola into, and also sing and play flutes and percussion into - good atmospherics and other sounds for some post-rock stuff. Simply put: I range from simple power chords to strange-ass unearthly sounds you've never heard before. I'm looking to put together a band to perform new rock and post-rock and punk stuff, and stuff from this album: Spotify:https://open.spotify.com/album/1g6b1SbCUou7nipsPHGEcd?si=R141K2kwQkm9FNRPvPKPGg Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/samuel-claiborne/sets/love-lust-and-genocide By the way - there are no synths on that album - everything that sounds like a synth is me, on the aforementioned setup. Looking for another guitarist to share rhythm duties (but happy to share leads too), bass player and a drummer. I am also always up for another singer - esp. a female one. Up for keys, up for multi-instrumentalists too. Surprise me. I am looking for younger musicians in general, coming out of a retro-punk ethos, who want to plug into that primal place, but all ages welcome. I also want to do a VERY eclectic mix of covers. Rock, post rock, and some punk. Some of the covers I am considering are: Teller - Throwing Muses, Junior's Groove - The Kropotkins, A Quarter to Three - Sleater Kinney, Bored - Iggy Pop, Blue-Eyed Devil - Soul Coughing, Velocity Girl - Chris Whitley & Jeff Lang, Cinderella - Cracker, Missed - PJ Harvey, One Line - PJ Harvey (I forgot to mention that I love PJ Harvey), Fortunate son - Creedence Clearwater Revival, Whisper me your number - Morphine, Roadrunner - Jonathan Richman, Dancing Barefoot - Patti Smith, When You Dance, I Can Really Love - Neil Young, Honky's Ladder - Afghan Whigs, 25 - Veruca Salt, Lucky - Radiohead, You Said Something - PJ Harvey, Soft Serve - Soul Coughing, Truce - The Dresden Dolls  Hope to hear from you.
