Kansas State Research and Extension is hosting three Kansas Local Meat Marketing Workshops across the state to help local meat producers grow their businesses and, in turn, strengthen local and regional food systems across Kansas. The workshops will provide guidance on regulations and strategies for business promotion. Attendees will learn from experts in the field, including fellow producers with direct experience in this topic.
The Kansas Local Meat Marketing Workshops will be hosted at the following locations:
Sedgwick County Extension Office in Wichita: February 3, 2023, from 10am-3pm
Kansas State University Olathe: February 24, 2023, from 10am-3pm
KSU Southeast Research-Extension Center in Parsons: March 3, 2023, from 10am-3pm
The workshop cost includes a noon meal including locally-produced meat. The event is sponsored by Kansas Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education(SARE) and Kansas State Research and Extension. Scholarships are available to cover the registration cost.
