Too often, sickle cell pediatric patients spend important and monumental days in-patient, being treated for severe crisis pain and other sickle cell associated health conditions like like strokes, tissue, organ and bone damage. Although they may not fully understand their condition, they tell us repeatedly that they just want to feel normal. Your donation of a toy may feel small but be assured it goes quite a long way to helping these young warriors feel normal --- in an especially good way.
