CITY OF SAN CLEMENTE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS for
SMALL BUSINESS ASSISTANCE GRANTS
PURPOSE OF COVID-19 BUSINESS GRANT: The City of San Clemente is providing financial assistance to licensed small businesses that have been affected by Covid-19 pandemic. This Grant Program was adopted by the City Council of the City of San Clemente to provide pandemic-relief funding to assist small business for items such as PPE, rent, utilities and eligible costs for restaurants to expand their outside dining space. This Program is subject to the availability of funds, compliance with the program guidelines and submission of the required application and supporting documentation.
Maximum Grant: Grantee must provide justification of the use of the funds in the amount requested, per the guidelines below.
Grants of up to $10,000 per eligible business, six to twenty-five Full Time Equivalent (FTE) employees. (See explanation of FTE employees under eligible use of funds.) Grants of up to $7,500 per microbusiness.Five FTE employees or less, one of which can be the owner. No home-based businesses will be eligible in the first round, and subject to availability thereafter. No non-profit businesses will be eligible in the first round, and subject to availability of funds thereafter. Grant Launch: The City will host a Zoom webinar explaining the program details and guidelines on MONDAY, JANUARY 11 at 2 P.M.
