Start with an artificial wreath base, and learn how best to add fresh pine, pine cones, ribbon, and wire to spruce up your look! Phillis will discuss balancing your arrangement, teach you how to make a fancy bow for your wreath, and send you off with a completed decoration for the holidays. Your ticket includes $30 worth of materials (base, fresh pine, pine cones, ribbon, and wire). Please bring with you: Gardening gloves or other protective gloves Stem cutters or gardening shears Any special decorations you would like to add (ornaments, poinsettias, lights, etc.) Age 12+* *Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult Phillis Fortney has 45+ years of experience as a florist, including 28 years of running her own shop. She enjoys working with different mediums including fresh and silk design, and has been a Kingsport native for 30 years. Phillis especially enjoys sharing ideas through teaching, being with people at workshops and passing knowledge back and forth. She says that students frequently have new ideas to share, and you are never too old to learn!
