Calling all Holiday Bakers! Enter your BEST Fort Watauga Ginger Bread Creation. $10 to enter for YOUTH, AMATEUR and PROFESSIONAL BAKERS. CASH Prizes are $100 for YOUTH, $150 for AMATEUR and $200 for Professional Bakers Youth are ages 0-18 years old. Amateur is any age that has baking experience but is not a professional baker. Professional is any age who has previous or is currently working in culinary arts, baking or etc. Corporate entries are $25 and are welcome for display. These entries come with a prize of advertising, Skate by the Doe tickets for 10 and bragging rights. These entries can be submitted by a professional baker. CONTEST REQUIREMENTS All Fort Watauga Gingerbread Creations should be a representation of the iconic fort at Sycamore Shoals State Park. All entries should be made of at least 85% edible confections and displayed on a cookie sheet (does not count toward the 85%) no larger than 9 x13 All entries will be on display at the Chamber through Dec16th. Participates MUST pick up entries by Dec 16th at 5PM UNLESS willing to donate creation to "Grinchmas in the Park", a community event at Covered Bridge Park where we'll smash the entries with the Grinch, and properly dispose of the houses (but we'll save your cookie sheet for you to pick up by Dec 20th) Fort Watauga Gingerbread Creations must be on display Elizabethton Chamber by Nov 26th at 5PM. You're welcome to drop them off before then, Monday-Friday, 8-5PM.
