Seasoned drummer trying to start up something new. I am 60 if it matters. Don't care what yours is. Looking for a group of great musicians that want to play a good variety of genres, but don't need to go off into 30 minute solos to feed their ego. Not looking for perfection, but skills are a must. Not looking for impersonations, but knowledge of the groove is what I'm shooting for. Flexibility would be good, but ideally would like to have a regular weekly practice and get this tight with the intention of playing out. All instruments (guitarists, bass, utility player, keys, love to add pedal steel, a fiddle, a banjo, or even a percussionist would be greatness!) and welcome, as well as vocals. Female vocals a plus. My Influences....basically anything from late 60's to whatever you can stomach today. On my flash drive today is some Garcia, ABB, Crowes, Petty, Stones, Gov't Mule, Dylan, Little Feat, Clapton, Jackson Brown, Doobies, Van Morrison, Doors, Dire Straights, Lucas Nelson, Neil Young, CSNY, Robert Plant, Robin Trower, Bonnie Raitt, Grace Potter, Susan/Derik Trucks, Waylon, Willie, Traffic, Average White Band, and some Ray Charles. Pretty much all over the place. Of course everyone will have there own influences and input, the idea is to take a selected song and make it ours no matter what it is. Please don't waste your time or effort if you can't commit to such a project and follow it through. Have practice studio and full PA in Arlington. It’s time to get back to what matters....Making Music with a brotherhood of musicians. Chemistry is everything.
