Description
I currently have button quail chicks in the brooder. Hoping to find them homes once they are off heat. Button quails are finch like in temperament (look but don't touch unless you have to) and size but chicken like in behavior and appearance. They do not perch and would appreciate a reptile terrarium or a hamster bin cage type setup. Floor space and coverage (fake plants and decor) are important to them. You can give them a nice reptile/small animal hide and they are fun to watch. They do lay eggs but if you are afraid of them breeding, no worries because they are very unlikely to sit on their eggs as the most common approach to hatching them is with an incubator. These little guys can be more interesting than a fish tank but less hands on than a small animal. They sometimes will make sounds but they are rather present. No crowing or screeching. Just little bird noises and they can make this noise that sounds like laughing. Their diet is simple and I am more than happy to help you figure out a setup. Rehoming fee applies.
