Participate in a neuroimaging research study in the Gabrieli Lab at MIT!
What is it and why is it important?
This study is designed to investigate speech and information processing in the brain. We hope that this research will further our understanding of differences in individuals with or without autism.
What is my commitment?
Total participation in this study will consist of one session:
- First, you'll do an MRI brain imaging session that will last approximately 1.5 hours.
- Then, you'll do some out-of-scanner activities which include surveys, computer tasks, and pencil and paper tasks. This will last approximately 1.5 hours.
Compensation
You will be paid for participating in all portions of our study at a rate of $20 per hour for the behavioral session, and $30 per hour for the brain imaging session.
Participants must meet the following criteria:
-Adults between the ages of 18 and 45 years
-Typically-developing OR diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder
-No metal in the body (braces, pacemaker, etc.)
If you are interested in participating, please complete this brief questionnaire and an MIT study team member will be in touch soon!
