Mr. Phil Martin, aka “The Broadkill Blogger,” will present an in-person lecture on the MHS collection of historic photography and equipment (we have over 1000+ historic images.) Learn about the history of 19th century photography, techniques, equipment and terms of early photos. See samples of daguerreotypes, tintypes, ambrotypes, Civil War era photos, cabinet cards and more! In reviewing our images and listening to the lecture, you will also learn about the lives of historic Miltonians through their images! Learn about old camera use, historic techniques and the process of sitting for a portrait! Refreshments will be served at the event, as well as a Q and A after the lecture.
