We are seeking Material Handlers who are responsible for all material movements for incoming and outgoing materials or products and inventory movements to the production floor. The Material Handler must observe all company policies, procedures, hourly working rules, and environmental health & safety rules. All assigned work activities must be carried out to the highest level of expected production quality. The Material Handler must closely work with supervisors and leads to ensure materials are moved on time. The ideal candidate must be willing to work within a team environment and accept guidance and instruction from other team members. • Load and unload raw material from and to machines. • Reflect material movements in ERP system (incoming material & material movements from holding location to machine). • Pull material inserts from machines and towers to fulfill orders. • Break out and label parts from laser machines and place parts onto designated pallets. • Check part edges for poor quality: burred edges, lost cuts, etc. and clean accordingly (remove burrs with powered deburring tool or equivalent). • Transfer/move pallets from and to machines as needed using forklift. • Conduct inventory counts of raw material and keep an updated account of raw stock and inventory. Identify and label materials and record their locations in Fabrication/in the machines to maintain an accurate inventory list. • Inspect inventory for defects, scratches or other damage. Report to lead and/or supervisor as necessary. • Ensure all transactions have been completed in GSS for job schedule before physically transferring parts to inventory. • Responsible for quality control. No damaged raw material is to be accepted in. • Follows policies and procedures to ensure efficient, effective, and safe forklift operations. • Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjusted work schedule, long days, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines. • Maintain production area integrity, cleanliness, and organization according to established standards. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Ability to work at a fast pace and maintain focus with unscheduled interruptions • Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work in non-climate controlled environments • Ability to solve practical problems • Ability to pay close attention to detail and perform daily job duties with accuracy • Ability to analyze, interpret, and report inventory discrepancies in a timely manner • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and internal customers
