The Kickback | BIPOC Family NightWe would like to take this moment to thank you for your patience and support as we navigate the complexities of organizing time and space to honor our BIPOC community. We are extremely excited to invite you to an evening dedicated to strengthening bonds and relationships with our BIPoC family commUNITY. We believe that an environment that centers love and care equates to a healthy and affirming space of learning. The evening will also provide an opportunity to break bread with one another - coming together over some warm food has always played a major role in many of our cultures - therefore let's nourish our bodies with conversations and food. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know - Vegan and Vegetarian options will also be provided. Also, for those families who utilize the BWX after-care program and are planning on joining us, please proceed with your normal and typical routine(s). For families in need of after-care for their student(s), the school will provide a one-time fee waiver for our BIPoC family night. The evening will also include a short presentation by both Michlene and Sergio providing an overview of BWX's commitment towards Social Justice and the current Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work being done.
