Read entire description to be considered: Get Paid Hourly + Tips + Bonus for working our Comic Con art booths in various cities throughout the United States. Travel, hotel and food are paid for and you will also be paid hourly for travel time. We sell art prints and canvases from our website www.disparody.com and do around 80 shows a year with various staff traveling throughout the country. Work dates are flexible but THE ONLY AVAILABILITY FOR TRAINING WILL BE THIS TUESDAY, NOV 15TH FOR 6-8 HOURS ANYTIME FROM 10 AM TO 9 PM at Lincoln Road Mall: 805 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139 where we have a booth at the Miami Beach Holiday Market from Nov 15th - Feb 15th (see ) We have various team members working our Miami booth but need a local person to fill in for specific dates and if you impress us enough, to become a member of our team for future Comic Con events we have planned for 2023. Comic Con events typically consist of a 4-5 day work schedule where our employee will travel to the venue on a Thursday evening, then the following day, set up our booth and work it throughout the duration of the event (typically a Friday thru Sunday), then travel home Sunday evening. Events are planned out months in advance so employees are able to volunteer which comic cons they would prefer to work. EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION: starting pay is $15/hr + Tips + Bonus (Bonus is based on employee performance and is typically 10% of the business profits). We've been doing these events now for over 6 years and our staff make an average of $1500 to $1800 per 3 day Comic Con event. Staff will also be paid for all travel time including wait times at the airport, Uber rides, hotel, airline and food expenses for all days of travel and the event. We do have high expectations of our staff members which include the following: ● Extrovert personality: you must love to talk to people. Those folks you see grabbing your attention at the malls are probably the ideal personalities we look for. You're not expected to do any hard sales but you are expected to talk to people on a regular basis and be likeable. ● Must be a non-smoker, sober, drug free and good hygiene. For this reason and the fact we will be doing phone interviews to start, we ask you to PROVIDE A PHOTO when applying for this position. You will be required to interact with all customers on a frequent basis so we only want outgoing, happy personalities to apply. If you're shy, this won't be the gig for you. ● Memorizing a variety of titles and sizes of art we sell at the shows –especially the funny names of our parody titles. ● Organizing and setting up the show. ● Very few breaks and typically a short lunch which you may end up eating in the booth. ● Handle and be 100% honest with cash sales and inventory items. Any thievery will result in automatic termination and prosecution from the business. If interested, please answer the following questions: 1. Why should we hire you? 2. Are you available to meet us for training this Tuesday, Nov 15th for 7-8 hours between 10 am and 9 pm? If so, which hours are you available? 3. Have you ever attended a Comic Con before (not necessary for the job, we're just curious) and if so, what are your favorite Comic Con themes? 4. Where do you currently work? 5. Have you ever been convicted of a felony? 6. Are you willing to submit to a quick background check? 7. Please provide email, phone number and best time to call. We will be calling prospective applicants and do an interview over the phone Monday afternoon/evening: Tuesday Nov 14th. Thanks and good luck!
