They held on due to the meddling of one man. • Kevin McCarthy has well vocalized his lust to seize the gavel in the House. It is not even certain his party will take control at this point. If they do, it will be by the thinnest of margins, and he does not as of today have the votes needed in his own party to allow him to become Speaker. YOU KNOW the press will press him to state if he supports a Trump run in '24. There is no good answer for him. The era of insanity has run its course. All except a few stragglers on sites like this one, Donald Trump is a sad reminder of what happens when extremism has its day in our great land. It is time to move on.
