This event is an initial meet and greet and introduction to the Home Away from Home program. Meet community members and learn more. Interested in more interactions? You can be matched with a community member to continue building your Boston network. Home Away From Home will provide an opportunity for connection between Northeastern international students with Bostonians in the neighborhood. Home Away From Home can offer each student a sense of extended family and neighborhood connection, comfort, camaraderie, where students can feel at ease, where they belong. Home Away From Home community members might be South End 'empty nesters', families with kids still at home, Northeastern University alumni, and older active couples who are eager to connect. The beauty of this structure is once students and community members become involved THEY will design together the structure of the relationship as it builds, how often they may gather or what outings they may share.
