The Funky Divas of Gospel Christmas Concert Hosted by Hampton United Methodist Church Hampton, NH: Hampton United Methodist Church, 525 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH, is hosting The Funky Divas of Gospel Christmas Concert at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 11th. This one-hour concert which will feature familiar holiday songs and carols as well as combining the musicianship and vocal harmonies the Divas are known for with the traditional and nostalgic music of the season. This concert is suitable for all ages. A free-will offering will be collected. All proceeds from this concert will support the outreach and mission programs of the church. The Funky Divas of Gospel have been a fixture at concert venues in New Hampshire and Maine for over 25 years. The Funky Divas are all about sharing great gospel, bluegrass music. It is roots. It is harmony. The group features three seacoast area singers Diane Arabian, Carolyn Hutton and Vicky Poland, backed by the funky band. The band is comprised by long time area musicians; guitarist and singer Dan Poland, bassist Tom Kesel, multi-instrumentalist Pete Leavenworth playing pedal steel/dobro/banjo and percussionist Sean Haney. Hampton United Methodist Church (HUMC) is proud of the vital role it plays in the community. Its outreach and mission work extends throughout the Seacoast and beyond. Locally, it provides space for Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Al-Anon meetings, as well as Meals on Wheels, and its food pantry is open every Wednesday. HUMC is also an active partner with Seacoast Family Promise, a non-profit agency that helps in guiding families who are experiencing homelessness toward stabilized housing. All are all welcome to worship at the church at 10:00 am on Sunday mornings. As is the tradition in the United Methodist Church, Holy Communion is held on the first Sunday of each month.
