Cover Band Seeks Bass Player

Meets

Manchester NH

Description

We are all long time veteran musicians (Late 40’s early 50’s) who have played in many successful bands, playing all the top clubs across New England. After covid hosed up the whole scene an ended a lot of bands, we all have a story of how we got here. That said we are all ready to get back out there. The Band Awesome female vocalist, two very solid guitar players and a great drummer. Yes it’s a start up but not a I never gigged start up, its veteran musicians reforming. We are all solid musicians and have played the scene for many years. Pro gear and pro attitude. We have full top of the line PA, light show, and booking contacts. We are all easy going we don’t pick things apart, we don’t try and find things wrong. We are not the band if you hit a wrong note everyone turns and looks at you in the middle of a show. We will probably laugh and make light of it. Again easy-going, chill, have fun, laugh, we are middle aged people playing other peoples music, we aren’t promoting our latest album on tour. Rehearsals Rehearsals are not permanent. How we handle it is like this. Everybody learn you parts for the 1st set. When everyone is ready to go we schedule a rehearsal, come together and play the set. Work out any intro’s endings, who’s playing what etc. Rinse and repeat 2 more sets, start booking. Once we are gigging no need to rehearse unless we want to come together to add material, or if there is a break between shows for whatever reason. Its not an automatic every week rehearsal. We rehearse in Deerfield NH, we go direct and use in ear monitors for rehearsal so peeps don’t have to lug amps and gear. I even have a back up Line 6 Helix you could use to go direct, just show up with your bass. Who we are Looking For We are looking to create a sunset band, meaning this will be a long term band, a great project we all ride out into the sunset until we call it quits for good. We had a bass player lined up but it wasn’t a good fit and they didn’t make it past the 1st rehearsal. We need another veteran on board who gets it. Learn your parts, don’t get hung up on the every single song on the list. Once we start gigging if something isn’t working we will pull it and replace it. The crowd will let us know if something isn’t working. Focus time and effort on the things that matter, which is getting the material down and booking gigs. How often do you play? In the summer months May through like September it will be like 1x a month. Go enjoy summer, take vacations, enjoy the weather, ride your Harley, enjoy the lake, go camping, whatever. September through May it will be more like 2x a month, a 3rd IF nothing was going on and EVERYONE was like sure why not. Nobody will get crap for saying no. Where do you play? We are going to focus primarily around the Manchester NH, no dive bars, min pay per member will be $150 up per person. We may have some in Laconia NH area, or even Northern Mass, but no 2 hour drives.
