The Morgantown Community Orchestra’s Winter Concert promises to put you in a festive mood for the holidays. The orchestra has reached a new milestone of over 50 musicians, the largest it has been in over a decade, and the MCO musicians are excited to take the stage of Antoinette Falbo Theatre of the WVU Loulie, Valerie, and William Canady Creative Arts Center, on Sunday, December 4 at 2.00 PM. The ensemble will perform uplifting favorite classics such as Arturo Marquez’s Danzon no.2, Beethoven’s Egmont Overture, Tchaikovsky’s ballet suite The Nutcracker, Goodman’s Sing, Sing, Sing! and Anderson’s A Christmas Festival.

Designed for intermediate and advanced players in the community and greater region who wish to share and develop their artistic talents, the MCO is one of the largest musical ensembles of West Virginia University’s Community Music Program. The orchestra welcomes instrumentalists of a wide range of musical experience and provides a meaningful opportunity for artistic growth, community engagement, and high-quality performance opportunities.
