Want a fun way to teach the littles about compassion during the season of giving? We will be at our local animal shelter with our new book Farkle Finds His Furever Home on December 17th from 12-4. Kids can read the book to a shelter dog, and everyone is welcome to attend story time (with milk and Christmas cookies!) with Sheriff Wayne Ivey, who will read the book to the public at 2pm and help sign copies afterwards. Volunteers from the former Canine Commandos will be available for partner reading with your littles, and to help decorate adoption posters for the pups. Touch of Grey Rescue will be setting up a pop up shop for Holiday gifts, and Santa Paws is scheduled to make an appearance for photos! Crates, food, bowls and leashes will be given to all who help one of our shelter pets find a furever home for the Holidays.
