Description

I am a music historian. I received a BA in Music History in 2013 and recently finished a three week scholarship at a college in West Virginia studying the historical roots of America's music(Blues, Bluegrass, Old Time, Swing, Gospel, Cajun, Zydeco, Country.) I took the summer off from my job to attend the scholarship and will return to working full time in September. Until then I would love to share my research with individuals that love music and those that embrace an inquisitive nature for learning. I would like to share my research with anyone that loves music or wants to learn more about music. I have traveled through West Africa studying music of the Jele tradition and received a stipend in 2015 through the NEH to study the music and culture of Gullah-Geechee in the Georgia sea islands. I have a vast amount of information to share and am a good conversationalist. I am passionate about my work. I gaurantee a conversation with me regarding music will change your life. Grace
