Dog Training Classes and Puppy Kindergarten Class. AKC has 10 obedience exercises in the Canine Good Citizen Test. The CGC Class practices these exercises and brushes up on the basics, and some groundwork for six weeks. If you would like to take the test and get the AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate, and maybe even get the CGC Title at the end of your dog's name, then maybe this is a good class for you to take with your dog on Sunday Afternoons 3:30 at Dog Lovers in Tarpon Springs on US 19. You can also take the test without taking the class for a small fee. Proof of current Rabies vaccine required. AKC also has a Star Puppy Class for dogs under 1 year old. There are twenty behaviors that are worked on over a six week time frame to socialize and help your puppy get off to a good start. You can send away for a Certificate and a medalian and ribbon from AKC. Lots of fun for the puppy and lots of activities. Sundays at 2:00 at Dog Lovers in Tarpon Springs on US 19. Proof of current vaccines required. Classes start on November 13, but you can join the classes midway and have the enrollment fee prorated for the remaining time.
