I am writing a research paper on why people left the manufacturing world for the gig economy. I would love to include a few allegorical tales from people who left the workforce and are now making it in the gig economy or doing their own business venture in which they have succeeded. I am also looking for people who are unsatisfied with their jobs to respond to this email and tell me what keeps them searching on the job boards for something better. The questions I have developed for these interviews are as followed: If you are not in the traditional workforce, Why did you leave the traditional workforce for the gig economy? If you are not in the traditional workforce, were you to re-enter the traditional workforce what would you be looking for in a job? How important is a 420 friendly company to your job search? How important is pay to you? How much would you like to make at your next job? How important is work-life balance to you? How important are advancement opportunities? How important are leadership styles or boss attitudes? If you are still in the traditional workforce, what keeps you at your job? What kind of innovative methods has your company tried to ensure they retain top talent? Unfortunately, this is an unpaid opportunity, but I would appreciate your feedback on this as these post cost money and I am looking for as much information as possible. Be part of the solution so that one day we can have a traditional workforce that meets our needs as employees.
