Rehoming Catahoula leopard dog

Description
After almost three years in our house we sadly have to rehome our catahoula mix m(we have the wisdom panel dna test for him) Fisher. Now that our son is getting bigger and is walking I am afraid to take any chances with them. Fisher will be three in February and is a fixed male. We have had him since he was about 6 weeks old and we were his second home. Fisher has fear based aggression. Which usually shows itself in Male aggression, dominance issues, resource guarding issues, and is a biter sometimes in these cases. He usually DOES NOT make contact, but goes for you like he’s a tough guy. Usually he realizes right away that he has done wrong and will put himself in his crate. Male dominance is a common thing for the breed. When he’s not being crazy he is an amazing dog who has learned a whole lot of things. Honestly he is one of the best dogs when it comes to commands. He knows so many. People are usually impressed with what he can do. However we believe he was taken from his mom too young and will just forever be scarred from it. He is also a high energy breed and really just needs time. Day to day he is an amazing companion he just has times when Instinct sets in and he needs to be corrected. We are hoping to rehome him to a house with space, patience, dog knowledge and probably no kids. We are afraid he will just sit at a shelter forever since it’s hard for him to meet new people and we don’t want to do that to our beautiful boy. I wish we were enough for him, but we just aren’t. He is a high energy breed and needs an active lifestyle. He loves to swim, go on walks, learn tricks and commands, do food puzzles and play with toys. Please let me know have any questions about Fisher. He would love to meet you. He really has so much potential he just needs to be worked with.
