Throughout my career I’ve been focused on educating people on Gender Identity. As a trans-person, I’ve made it a passion to infuse humor with activism. We often get stuck revolving around a specific identity and yet we are all more than one thing. I may be transgender, but I’m
also an entrepreneur, a creator, a dog mother, a friend, a comedian, and an avid emotional
eater.
In a world where we curate our social media posts as well as what we show to those around us, we have to realize that we are all of it. Yes, post that video talking about your identity, people
need to see that. We also need to see you as more than that. Now, more than ever it’s vital that
we acknowledge our full identity and show up with authenticity.
Authenticity is key to showing up honestly and fully. When it comes down to it, we’re all human
and vastly diverse. The more we show up unapologetically the better the world around us
becomes. Like Edwin Elliot said “By being yourself, you put something beautiful into the world
that was not there before.” and that changes everything. The more people around us see us, the
real authentic us, they’ll see themselves. The one humanizing effect is seeing ourselves in
someone we don’t understand, we don’t know and we don’t agree with.
In this workshop we will delve into our core to help us live a life that is in tune with who we are
and how we engage our world.
