Áo Dài Fashion Show The Vietnamese Ao Dai Fashion Show, is the perfect opportunity to experience traditional Vietnamese fashion. Learn about the latest trends and what makes Vietnamese fashion so unique. This event is perfect for anyone interested in discovering this unique style. The Ao Dai is a Vietnamese national garment worn by both sexes but most commonly by women. It is a long, split tunic dress worn over loose trousers. The tunic with long sleeves covers the whole body, except the head, hands, and feet. On some formal occasions like a wedding or a graduation ceremony, men and women also wear Ao Dai. The word “ao dai” was originally applied to the outfit worn at the court of the Nguyễn Lords at Huế in the 18th century. Ao Dai has overcome all challenges and innovations to become the national dress of Vietnam as well as a symbol of Vietnamese women. It has exposed both the bold cultures of humanity and the melting pot of Oriental (Vietnamese – Chinese) and the West (French). Nowadays, there are many innovative styles of Ao Dai, especially for women, making it more comfortable to wear.
