Come meet us at Precita Park for a leisurely, community-building stroll to the top of Bernal Heights.
Together, we'll share favorite moon myths and memories, and most importantly, meet some new friends as the moon rises over the horizon, complete with binoculars and snacks. All ages welcome!
About the GuideSophie is a co-founder of Wild Awake. She harnesses her mixed-race identity of Japanese, American, and Eastern European ancestry to bridge Eastern and Western ways of knowing to create programmatic experiences. She is a stargazer who loves to meet people by a campfire, on the yoga mat, and over a cozy cup of tea.
What to BringA blanket or towel for sitting more comfortably in nature (we'll have a few extras)
Comfortable clothing for spending time outdoors, such as a jacket, beanie, warm socks, etc.
Your favorite journal and a pen
Covid-19 SafetyProof of full vaccination is required. Social distancing will be observed. Please do not attend if you are not feeling well, have COVID-19 symptoms, or have been in close contact with anyone who is COVID-19+.
TransportationIf possible, we request that you walk, bike, or use public transportation to this event to reduce your carbon output. 😊
