The Haunted Book Shop is celebrating Small Business Saturday the only way the Haints know how—with author signings, story time, and a visit from The Haunted Book Shop Elf! Starting at noon, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestseller Lauren K Denton will sign books including her latest, A Place to Land. Publishers Weekly said of A Place to Land, “Denton masterfully paces this slow-burn mystery and vividly renders the dark undercurrent of small-town life.” This Mobile native’s work has been called “distinctly Southern” and “shimmers with beauty and possibility.” This is a signing not to be missed. The HBS Elf arrives at 1pm with Christmas cookies and Holiday cheer galore. Join the elf to add your wish to our “Christmas Wish” board then curl up for story time. At 1:30pm, Amy Delcambre and Jodie Cain Smith will sign their new releases, Secret Mobile and 100 Things to Do in Mobile Before You Die, respectively. These two books are flying off the HBS shelves and make great gifts for visitors and locals alike.
