Join us to celebrate a year’s worth of accomplishments and learn about the latest developments in eviction and foreclosure prevention in Detroit.
We’ll bring you up to date on UCHC’s work in the last year and let you know what to expect next as Detroit implements its new Right to Counsel program. Plus, we’ll give special recognition to UCHC staff and local leaders who've positively impacted housing in Detroit in the last year.
GUEST SPEAKERS, 6 P.M.
Our MC for the evening will be Sophia Chue. Our keynote speaker this year will be Kim Trent, Deputy Director for Prosperity of the Michigan Poverty Task Force.
Shawn Jacque, General Counsel for 36th District Court, will give us an update on the changes in Detroit’s eviction court over the last year and let us know what to expect in 2023.
The cost of a UCHC membership includes admission to our annual meeting, as well as a delicious catered dinner (with a vegetarian option). Facemasks are optional and will be available at the door.
All proceeds support UCHC's work helping low-income tenants and the homeless obtain or retain decent and affordable housing, as well as helping low-income homeowners prevent the loss of their homes to land contract forfeiture or mortgage and tax foreclosure.
