Feeling a bit disconnected in CR

I've lived in Cedar Rapids now for about 10 years. I've yet to find that gritty underbelly of a music scene that by all rights a blue collar town like Cedar Rapids should have. Pretty disappointing, but oh well. I cut my teeth as a versatile side man playing guitar when needed and bass when (much more frequently) needed. These days I've got plenty of work and family responsibilities, but I'm desperately lacking in the music arena. I'm not married to a music style---I've played in a variety of genres of bands. I just need to be a part of solid songs played by people that I can jibe with. If anybody out there is in need of a musician that's probably maybe a bit grizzled and frustrated with music in Cedar Rapids, hit me up.
