Songwriter/Guitarist Seeking Same to Have Some Fun and Collaborate

Hi. I’m 49, originally from New York City, been playing guitar amongst other instruments (I.e bass, drums, piano, ukulele, trumpet - some better than others) for the better part of 30 years. I have played in bands (most often played bass) and gigged all over NYC, but for the last 15+ years my non-musical career has been more of the focus and priority than playing in bands. Nevertheless, I’ve never stopped playing, and have amassed a pretty huge base of original material (a lot written on acoustic guitar) that would truly benefit from collaborating with another songwriter. Where I struggle the most is developing melodies so if you are skilled with writing melody and can sing then we may be a good fit ‘cause I’ve got a TON of original material we can work on together. I’d say my writing style is kind of like Johnny Cash meets The Red Hot Chilli Peppers meets Jimi Hendrix meets Nick Cave. Some of my musical influences (other than the above) which are really all over the place are Grateful Dead, Tool, Bad Brains, Zepplin, Floyd, Sabbath, Melvins, Shakey Graves to name a few. My objective of this post is to find someone or a few people to have FUN and create with. I don’t have any expectations of gigging or recording but I’m definitely open to it if we can complete a solid body of work. It’s just been way too long since I’ve jammed with, worked with, or collaborated musically with anyone and that makes me feel musically and energetically unfulfilled.
