Before too much discouragement and pessimism sets in let's take inventory of what we know so far: •Stacey Abrams lost again after spending $105 million, yet many GOP governor candidates expected to win, lost. •Beto Orourke lost again in a state where he had virtually no chance to win. •Nancy Pelosi has to hand the gavel over to a Republican after an unprecedented run as Speaker, to a new speaker with limited power. •The GOP still has a chance of taking the Senate but will very likely lose Georgia, and therefore the Senate. •Trump endorsed candidates went 105 wins to 5 losses, yet he's been broadly shunned by the GOP and is attacking DeSatan. •Over 200 candidates who were vocal about investigating 2020 election fraud were elected to Congress, and they will now clash with sane Republicans who will not work with conspiracy theorists. •Dark horse states like Nevada and Oregon are putting Democrats on upset alert. Hardly. The upset already happened. NO RED WAVE. •The gains in local elections (school boards, etc) have yet to be tabulated. My guess is that the GOP will be disappointed yet again. •Sarah Huckabee Sanders is governor of Arkansas which tells you how weak and desperate Arkansas is for candidates. •New York and California are squarely back in Democrat control and will be for years. •A democrat President bucked nearly of century of history in turning back a predicted opposition party "wave." •DeSantis lost Miami-Dade Co by 20% in 2018 and won by 9%!in 2022, a 29% swing. And now he's clashing with Trump for the soul of the GOP. •Many other GOP defeats which no one is ignoring, especially McCarthy who made all sorts of boastful claims that he can no longer deliver having lost bigly on Tuesday.
