Successful, established Property Management company hiring FULL TIME EXPERIENCED PORTER with PAINTING SKILLS and experience in Luxury High Rise Residential / Commercial Buildings. **Good pay / long term employment, learning, career growth, Some overtime required** PORTERING RESPONSIBILITIES: -- Assist Maintenance Supervisors & Techs with apt. turnovers, interior / exterior maintenance; use hand & small power tools, shovels, ladders, etc.; learn & perform small repairs. -- Prepare & paint apartments & common areas. -- Operate trash compactors, carts & rolling dumpsters to collect & move trash to loading dock and outside dumpsters. -- Water & trim shrubs & small trees. -- Assist housekeeping staff with building cleaning duties. -- Winter snow & ice removal from exterior areas. -- Occasional evening or weekend duty for emergency repairs at building. WORK SCHEDULE: - Assigned shifts are either 7 to 3:30, 8 to 3:40, or 9 to 530, 5 days per week; may include some week days & some weekend days. - Flexible to occasionally start workdays a bit earlier or finish a bit later. - Occasional overtime required (time-and-a-half pay rate). PAY RATE - Staring $18.00 per hour, paid weekly. Raises can be earned based on work performance + teamwork + attendance + time with company. QUALFICATIONS: - Live in, or short distance from Jersey City/Hoboken. - Able to lift & carry or push 50 pounds of equipment & supplies. - Bi-lingual English & Spanish preferred; Spanish only is ok if very experienced. - U.S. Citizen or proof of legal status to work in the U.S. / Drivers License or State ID / Social Security card / checking or savings account (for online paycheck deposit).
