She is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and Clean Needle Technique by The Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM). She graduated from Pacific College of Health and Science with a Masters Degree in Acupuncture (MS.Ac) in 2010, followed by a Doctorate in Acupuncture (D.Ac) in 2017. She joined Northern Westchester Hospital as the acupuncturist for the Bruce and Andrea Yablon Cancer Treatment and Wellness Program in 2016. She also teaches Acupressure classes for the program and hospital. Susan Balamaci, MSN, RN-BC, HNB-BC, LMT, has worked in service to the Integrative Health program of Northern Westchester Hospital since 2009 and became the Integrative Health Holistic Nurse at NWH’s Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center in 2016. Susan is a Board-certified Holistic Registered Nurse (HNB-BC) and Board-certified Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN-BC). In addition, Susan has been a Board-certified Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT, NCTMB) since 2004 and is a Preferred Practitioner for the Society of Oncology Massage (S4OM.org). Susan currently provides Oncology Massage Therapy, Hospital-based Relaxation Massage, Reflexology/Acupressure and Reiki (Reiki Master Level). Susan earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN, Nurse Educator) at Sacred Heart University and is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Pace University. She teaches Mindfulness Meditation, Reiki for Self-Care, and Tai Chi Easy as part of the Bruce and Andrea Yablon Cancer Health & Wellness Program.
