Researchers from the University of Utah have partnered with Blue Star Families' Utah Chapter to host a community meeting to gather information on the experiences and needs of Military and Veteran Family Caregivers.
Information gathered in this meeting will help shape future caregiving research for Military and Veteran families in Utah. Family caregivers are adults, youth, and children that help support a family member who needs extra care due to a disability, injury, or illness.
Families can attend this meeting in person at the Main Salt Lake City Library or via Zoom. In-person attendees will receive a copy of the AARP Caregiving Booklet and some extra treats.
This meeting is part of a study on the Hidden Helpers of Utah. “Hidden Helpers” are children and youth supporting caregiving activities in Military and Veteran family homes. This study is sponsored by the Family Caregiving Collaborative of the University of Utah: https://nursing.utah.edu/research/groups-projects/family-caregiving-initiative
Register to join us in person or virtually by selecting register and registering for the Hidden Heroes Townhall Ticket. Only one registration per family is required.
