Change is the only constant when it comes to social media, but one simple truth has remained the same. Engagement is a key analytical driver leading to higher conversions, more followers, and better brand fans. But what is “engagement”? How do you make time to engage in a meaningful way when you’re a one person show with an already heavy workload? Erin will give us some quick tips and tricks for engagement as well as time management to get it all done. Since she began at LSU Shreveport in April of 2021, Erin has increased the campus’s social media engagement per impression by 389% and increased followers across platforms by 148% for a total net audience growth of 69.9%. Our Speaker Erin Smith is currently the Interim Director of Media and Public Relations at LSU Shreveport and co-owner/strategy director of Maltshop Marketing. She is the current president of PRAL Northwest, Secretary for PRAL State, and the 1st VP and American Advertising Awards Chair for the American Advertising Federation of Shreveport-Bossier. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from LSUS and a Certified Digital Marketing Professional certificate from the Digital Marketing Institute.
