We often view the holidays as a season of joy, but for many people, the holidays can be a time of sadness, stress, and isolation. The death of a loved one, divorce, separation, and long-term illness impact our emotions, and the holidays magnify our loss.
Faith Seventh-day Adventist Church is offering a free seminar, Surviving the Holidays With Hope & Healing, to help grieving individuals and families navigate the holiday season. Jacqueline Mitchell, Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator at Serenity Hospice Services, LLC, will lead a candid conversation about grief and our emotions, share strategies for socializing over the holidays, offer tips for dealing with change, and provide resources for hope and healing beyond the holidays.
The Surviving the Holidays With Hope & Healing seminar is scheduled for Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. The location is the fellowship hall of the Faith Seventh-day Adventist Church, 7330 Mickens Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70811.
