Description

The high tides of today are the regular tides of tomorrow. Ride into the future of our local environment to see the King Tide at Alviso Marina County Park. The main bike ride will start at Baylands Park, and end at Alviso Marina County Park. If we create any longer rides from Mountain View, San José, Sunnyvale, or elsewhere, this page will be updated. We are currently seeking community partners for this event! If your organization focuses on climate change, sea level rise, climate resiliency, wetlands habitat, or other climate-related South Bay initiatives, please consider signing on to co-sponsor this event! Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition staff will provide free bike safety checks, helmet fitting, free bike lights, offer light bike repair, and run a safe, supportive, family-friendly group ride along the Bay Trail from Baylands Park to Alviso Marina County Park. At Alviso, we will hear presentations from groups who will share the latest information about wetland health, sea level rise, and climate resiliency.
