This event is a fundraiser for the SJWC Charitable Giving Program and features a fun afternoon of gingerbread house decorating for children and adults, including low income children who would not be able to attend without a sponsor. We hope to sponsor 25 children and raise $2,000 for local charities. Buy a ticket that includes a Gingerbread House Kit for $35, or bring your own house to decorate for $15. Just want to cheer on a decorator? Tickets are $5 for entry without decorating. We provide decorations, light refreshments, Christmas music, and a fun way to create a holiday centerpiece without messing up your own kitchen! You can also sponsor a child that wouldn't be able to attend for $35.  Please print and bring your ticket, or show ID at the door. Other items to bring include any special decorations you would like to use and an apron. Free parking is available on most streets around the Club all day Sunday, except the 00 block of S. 12th St. Garage Parking is available at the SJSU Garage around the corner (entrance on San Fernando between S. 10th and S. 9th Streets). Decorating stations will be set up in the SJWC Landmark Ballroom. If you'd like, participate in our Gingerbread House Decorating Contest at 4:00 p.m. Prizes for the best house in several age categories and a prize for all participants. It's our tenth year at the SJWC. Proceeds from the Gingerbread House Decorating Party benefit local charities such as 13th Street Cat Rescue, HOPE Services, Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence, Opera San Jose, San Jose Day Nursery, San Jose International Music Piano Competition, Sempervirens Fund, Silicon Valley Reads and Women’s Gathering Place.  Sponsorship opportunities available.
